What time should we arrive?

Please plan to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony begins to allow time for checking into your room, parking and seating.

Can I bring a plus-one or my children?

Please note that invitations are addressed only to the specific guests we’re able to include. Thanks for celebrating with us!

Weather expectations for our outdoor wedding?

Modimolle winters are usually warm by day and a bit chilly at night, with clear skies and little rain. For our outdoor ceremony and reception, we suggest layering: light clothes for the afternoon and a wrap or jacket for later in the evening. We’ll have some shade for the sun and cosy fires for the colder hours.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

We ask that phones be put away during the ceremony, our photographer will be taking stunning photos which we promise to share afterward.

For the ladies - What colours should I avoid wearing?

Can I pay for bar facilities using card?

Unfortunately, card payment facilities are not available at the venue.

The bar operates with cash only.

The bar closes at midnight and own drinks may be brought in ONLY AFTER MIDNIGHT

What time is check out after the wedding?

Check-out time the morning after the wedding is 11am.

Is Wifi available at the lodge?

No. Wifi is not available at the lodge or in any of the accommodation units/rooms.

How do I check-in if I arrive late?

Reception is open from 07h30 to 17h00. If you arrive after 17h00 on Friday please note that you can proceed directly to your unit/room. The unit/room will be open with the key in the door. A map is located on the wall at the Reception for you to navigate to your unit/room.

If you arrive late on Saturday, please proceed directly to the ceremony to avoid arriving at the same time the ceremony has started.

How do I check-out?

On check-out please leave your key in the door of your unit. You do not have to come to Reception to check-out unless you have unsettled accounts.

Is there cellphone reception at the lodge?

Limited cellphone reception is available. A cellphone booster is located at the Reception Desk and it is advised to make all outgoing calls within close-proximity of this area.

Will my accommodation be serviced during my stay at Kuthaba?

Please note that housekeeping staff will not be cleaning units/rooms during your stay at Kuthaba Bush Lodge.

Will linen and bath towels be provided?

Yes. Towels and linen are provided in all units/rooms.

Does my unit have a bath and/or shower?

Yes. The Red Ivory Chalets each have a bath as well as a shower. The Bungalows all have showers. Ablutions for the Safari Tents as well as the Loft Rooms also have shower facilities.

Is shampoo, soap and other amenities provided in the units?

Hand soap is provided in all restrooms, ablutions and en-suite bathrooms. Please supply your own shampoo and other toiletries.

Does the lodge have an a la carte restaurant?

No. Kuthaba does not have a restaurant onsite. Please note that breakfasts and any additional meals are only catered for if booked by the bridal couple for the entire group of wedding guests. No individual meals will be catered for.

Where is the nearest supermarket or shop to buy provisions?

Supermarkets, shops, etc. to buy essential provisions can be found in Modimolle. Please note that the general trading hours for the shops in Modimolle are as follows: Mon-Fri 09h00 to 17h00 (or until 19h00)

Sat 09h00 to15h00

Sun 09h00 to13h00

These times might differ depending on Public Holidays, etc.

Am I allowed to walk or hike on the reserve?

Yes, between sunrise and sunset.
